The Palette Zine – Volume 1

Issue #1

In this issue, which was the inaugural issue for this project, in the Art section, I covered my love for making pixel art cityscapes, what program I use to make them, and the release of a new tool called picoCAD, while in the Gaming section, I covered the reveal of the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes and the official Stardew Valley tabletop game, then I gave my opinion on Super Mario Sunshine!

Issue #2

In this issue, in the Art section, I cover the end of the Zine Jam that The Palette Zine was originally created for, as well as talking about the difficulty of learning new skills, meanwhile in the Gaming section, I cover the announcements of the new Stellaris Board Game’s kickstarter and the upcoming release of another expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, my thoughts on what a Metroid or Legend of Zelda Battle Royal might look like, and then a quick note about yet another expansion for the Pokémon TCG that was announced.

Issue #3

In this issue, in the Art section, I cover the end of the 11th picoCAD jam, as well as quite the odd find: productivity software made for the PICO-8. In the Gaming section, I talk about the upcoming Gamer Maker’s ToolKit Game Jam, and, more importantly, the announcement of the release dates for the new wave of Pokémon games!

Issue #4

In this issue, in the Art section, I give spotlights to two creators: friend of the channel, LadyGoggles, and Flowergothic, whom I no am associated with, but I have yet to remove the latter’s section from this issue. For the Gaming Section, I cover the upcoming Pokémon TCG Celebrations release, a massive update to the browser-based Familiars.io, and new additions to Pokémon Masters EX.

Issue #5

In this issue, which came after a somewhat long hiatus, showcases the release of the MRMO-Halftone plugin for Blender, future projects I plan to be working on, a new update for Pokémon HOME, and the announcement and release of the TTRPG for Reproductive Rights bundle.

As of July 3rd, 2023, I have yet to release any more issues of The Palette Zine, but I do have the draft for Issue 6 written. Unfortunately, I have not had time to get it into Publisher and release it.
